Project Description
More than curb appeal
Looking to fill in some empty space in the planting beds and around the deck, this customer wanted a beautiful look that would be long lasting and not require much fuss.
WHAT WE DID
1- Burst of color. A beautiful palate of greens, yellows, whites and reds were used to bring visual interest to the planting beds in front of the house. All of these plants are low maintenance and moderately drought tolerant. Some of the plants used were: Hibiscus Tree, Crinum Lily, Croton, Trinette Arboricola, and Maui Ixora.
2-Enhance the view. Taking center stage, a large, three-trunked Christmas Palm was placed in the yard to give the homeowners a beautiful view out of their French doors and large windows. Surrounding the base of the tree are some eye-catching, heat-tolerant and low maintenance flowers. Dark brown mulch was filled in around the base of the Christmas Palm, creating a beautiful contrast with the greens and whites.
3- The Finishing Touch. Adding to the lush and tropical feel of the overall landscape, additional plants were placed in a variety of containers around the deck. Some of the plants used in containers were Jatropha, Cat Palm, Thyrallis, Begonias and Song of India.
