A Beautiful Centerpiece
The goal for this project was to create an island bed that would bring some pizzazz to an empty area in front of a circular driveway. A mixture of greens and reds along with a variety of shapes and textures were used to bring visual interest and beauty to this island bed.
WHAT WE DID
1- Eye-Catching Plants. The plants used in this design were Cardboard Palms, Variegated Blueberry Flax Lily, Red Sister Ti Plants and cascading Juniper. All of these plants are slow growing and virtually maintenance free.
2- Give it an Edge. To define the area, an attractive, stone border was put in place, giving this beautiful island a distinguished and polished look.
3- Fresh Mulch. To tie it all together, dark brown mulch was applied to the area, creating a beautiful contrast with the variety of greens as well as the beige tones in the rock and border.
