Croton is a very popular choice in South Florida landscapes due to it’s many vibrant colors and variety of shapes. There are many varieties with different sizes, color patterns and leaf shapes. Some prefer full sun, while others tolerate more shade. Slow growing and very easy to maintain, Crotons are moderately salt tolerant and moderately drought tolerant. Most can be kept at 3 – 5 ft, although some varieties can get much larger. Extremely versatile, the Croton Plant can be used as an accent plant for year round color, for a small hedge, around the base of palms, and in containers
